The goal: preserve the heart of the existing member base while creating a new brand identity and website that could carry the studio confidently into the future.
During our Discovery Call, it became clear that maintaining member trust while refreshing the brand was critical. The new owners were passionate about making Pilates accessible to all and wanted to create a space that encouraged growth and belonging. We anchored the brand mission around building a supportive environment where anyone–regardless of age or fitness level–can feel empowered, balanced, and strong.
We began by identifying what set Pure Balance Pilates apart from national franchises in the area: their personalized approach, close-knit community, and all-day class offerings. This helped us to develop a brand strategy that would speak directly to their ideal audience–fitness lovers looking for consistency, connection, and a studio that fits into their day-to-day lives.
We crafted a verbal identity that feels both motivating and inclusive, rooting it in three core values that are foundational to Pilates: community, balance, and strength. Slogans like “Move Together, Grow Stronger” and “Every Day Made Stronger” reflect the studio’s belief that strength isn’t just physical–it’s emotional and mental, too.
The logo design draws inspiration from the iconic Pilates “teaser” pose. The upward angles symbolize strength and movement, while the supporting circle at the base represents balance. Soft curves and rounded edges keep the overall tone approachable, aligning with the brand’s warm and feminine personality.
Rooted in the desert tones of Phoenix, the color palette blends soft sage, cactus green, a warm pink, and cool neutrals. These colors not only connect to the studio’s physical location but evoke feelings of calm, wellness, and natural energy.
The primary typeface, Poppins, was chosen for its clarity and softness. Rounded and approachable, it reinforces the brand’s friendly and open tone. A script accent font was added to build personality and elegance, used sparingly to highlight key moments in the brand’s voice.
To ensure consistency and recognition, we created a suite of social media templates, profile assets, and brand merchandise mockups. These tools allow the studio to maintain a cohesive presence online and continue building its loyal community.
Through a combination of thoughtful strategy and elevated design, we helped Pure Balance Pilates step into its next chapter with clarity and confidence. The new brand feels true to the studio’s roots while carving a fresh path forward–welcoming every body, every day.
