Better Mobile Experience and Online Ordering

This is a sub-company to the parent Atlantic Pictures Company, the first step was to brainstorm name ideas for this new division. After several rounds of brainstorming, we decided on “Backlot”, named after a filmmaker term that describes an area used by a film studio. From there we developed new branding, aesthetic, visuals and more for this exciting new company.

We needed to define the brand as an endorsed brand, meaning it would be described as “An Atlantic Pictures Company” to keep the reputation that the parent brand has developed over the years, while still showcasing itself as its own unique identity. Our research and brand work allowed their company to leverage the reach of their parent company while also developing a sub brand that could stand on it’s own.

While “Atlantic Pictures” is focused on being high-end, Backlot was to showcase a more fun side, using movie quotes throughout the branding and website.

Improved Visual Design

After the name, we got to work on the initial logo concepts and visual direction. The finalized logo utilized a location pin within the logotype that could be used as a separate icon. This again played off the symbolism and focus of being a location management company.

After clearly identifying their ideal clientele, our experts were able to develop effective core messaging and brand visuals that would turn viewers into loyal future customers.

The Final Product

Equipped with a beautiful, unique and new brand, Atlantic Pictures Company was ready to launch and show-off their new sub brand of Backlot. While still honoring and highlighting the origins of their umbrella/parent brand, Backlot was able to shine and highlight it’s own services, differences and vision.
