Here are his 3 essential tips on how to make sure your website works for you!

Make Your Website Targeted

First things first you need to make sure that your website is targeted. Having a targeted website means that your website is not for everybody. Thinking that your product and website is for everyone, is a trap that many entrepreneurs fall into. It pays to remember the quote “If you try to please everyone you’ll please no one” when it comes to building an effective website. To ensure that your website is target ask yourself these 3 questions while you build out your website:

  1. Who are my 20%?
  2. What products/services are they buying?
  3. What would attract more of these people?

Convert but do not Replace Marketing

The second way you can make your website work for you is by making your website convert, but NOT replace marketing.  Conversion is generating business through adding primary calls to action, structure, design and unique values to your website. Marketing is driving traffic, this is done through SEO, Ads, social media, and referrals or affiliate marketing. 

The metrics that make up an effective website, are conversion rate and traffic.Conversion is often difficult to understand, these follow 5 tips are the best for increasing conversion with your website:

 

  1. Decrease the total number of clicks
  2. Decrease the amount of scrolling to find a call to action
  3. Increase site speed
  4. Mobile optimize 
  5. Provide multiple ways to convert

By implementing these 5 things into your website you are sure to see an increase in conversion, and thus making your website work for you. When building your website and optimizing it for peak conversion rates ask yourself these three questions:

 

  1. Is my website “performing”?
  2. If not, what’s my conversion rate?
  3. What do I need more of, traffic or conversions? 

 

Be Automated not Passive

Lastly your website should be automated but NOT passive. An automated website has effective blogs, auto-responders, thank you pages, chat bots, live chat, team pages, case studies, and FAQ’s. All of which provide resources, information and attention to current and prospective clients when they visit your website. Allowing you to share, educate, and talk with clients even when you may not be fully active online. An automated website takes time and energy off your hands while still catering to your clients.

 

The 3 questions every entrepreneur needs to ask themselves to make sure that their website is automated is: 

 

  1. What do my customers value?
  2. What value can I provide on my website?
  3. Is this something I can automate or process out? 

By answering these questions with your website you will see incredible results and change that will take your business to new heights.
