Behind every great brand is a great story

Salmon River Adventure Company was founded in the 1970s after the section of the Salmon River and the base was acquired from the Boy Scouts of America by Tommy Hilleke and his wife, Polly. Together, with their four sons, they have created a company that aims to offer family-friendly adventures down the Salmon River. They are all about providing a transformation customer experience that focuses on cultivating lifelong river runners and nature stewards.

Logo Story

Tommy and Polly needed an easily identifiable logo that captured the beauty of their home along the Salmon River. Our team of designers wanted to incorporate elements of the river into the design. They opted for bold colors that reflected and complemented the natural colors of the raging river. The iconography itself mimics the strength and flow of the river. The Salmon River is surrounded by majestic peaks in the 20-mile stretch of land owned by SRAC.

Fun. Explore. Grow.

Salmon River Adventure Company holds itself to a high standard. These standards needed to shine through in their messaging.

  • They guarantee every participant has a quality experience. It is their number one priority, and they ensure that happens by hiring the best professionally trained guides and having top-notch equipment.
  • They are committed to sustainable business practices. Every staff member participates in the Leave No Trace and the Wild and Scenic Stewardship Guide Certification Program. They do their part to make sure your children’s children have clean rivers to run in the future.
  • They love their community and love giving back.  They want to make adventure accessible and give away multiple scholarships to kids who cannot afford to attend their camps. Adventure is for everyone!

Polly was so much fun to work with; just working with her made me want to hop in the car and go kayaking! Her passion and love for Salmon River and her family was palatable. She was collaborative and clear about what she wanted while enjoying the design process as much as I did.
