You Should Be Writing Some Of Your Own Blog Posts. Here’s Why.

It’s not up for debate whether or not you should be blogging. “Blogging”, for the sake of this post, is going to mean creating any original readable content for your website. Whether that’s case studies, examples of your work, tips and tricks, or just a regular newsletter, we can all agree that creating that type of renewed original written content is beneficial for your website, visitor experience, and SEO.

As a small business owner, entrepreneur, solo-preneur, or even side-hustle guru, having a blog is a sure-fire method to generate traffic and leads, especially when shared via email marketing and social media. But not all blog posts are created equal. Do not create content just for the sake of creating content. There is something that makes blog posts special. Here’s a hint, it’s the same thing that makes your business special. It’s you.

You can go onto Fiverr and hire a freelance writer and give them all the necessary prompts, resources, and guidance in the world, but it will still be missing that special ingredient. You. Your voice. Your insight. Your expertise. When your potential customers visit YOUR website to read YOUR blog, they want to hear from YOU. Do not get overly stressed about grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. The clients and customers you are trying to attract will appreciate and value your voice and your knowledge more than a blog post that was assigned to a stranger on the internet.

YOU should be blogging. It should be one your priorities as a small business owner or entrepreneur. Getting started is easy and the results are real.
