Meet EMPWR
EMPWR is a direct-to-consumer sales and marketing agency, door to door, retail counters, and business accounts, representing nationally recognized brands like Reliant, Vivint, and Assurance Wireless in the field. The company earns on a straightforward model: a fee for every approved customer enrollment its reps close on behalf of the brands it represents. Founders Josh Dean and Georgia built the business the hands-on way, training reps directly and prioritizing quality over mass recruiting, and it worked well enough that EMPWR was ready to chase larger national partnerships and a bigger sales force.
There was just one problem: EMPWR had a name, and not much else. No brand, no website, nothing to show a potential enterprise partner, or a job candidate, deciding whether this was a real company worth joining.

The Challenge: Legitimacy Without a Digital Footprint
EMPWR had already proven the model worked: hands-on training, real client relationships, a reputation good enough to be ready for bigger national partnerships. None of that showed up anywhere online. There was no website, no logo, nothing beyond a name and an Instagram account, in an industry that already fights public skepticism about door-to-door sales as a career. That gap mattered twice over: to a potential enterprise partner deciding whether EMPWR was a credible operator, and to the ambitious people EMPWR needed to recruit and convince that this was a real long-term career, not a fly-by-night gig.
What EMPWR Was Missing:
- A brand and website credible enough for enterprise-level partnership conversations
- A way to stand apart from public skepticism about door-to-door sales as a career
- A recruiting tool that could compete for talent in a tight labor market
- A lean internal team without the bandwidth to build any of this alone
The Solution: A Brand Built to Recruit First
Most clients build a website to bring in customers first. EMPWR needed something else first: legitimacy, and a recruiting engine. The plan was to build the brand and website around that reality, proving to reps and partners alike that EMPWR was the real thing, before worrying about direct online sales.
- Build a brand serious enough for enterprise partnership conversations, not just customers
- Design a website that speaks to job applicants first, partners and customers second
- Give EMPWR full ownership of its own recruiting pipeline instead of relying on a third party
- Turn EMPWR’s own name into the framework for its values and positioning
Part 01: Turning a Name Into an Empire
Building an Aspirational Brand From Five Letters
EMPWR’s own name became the foundation of the brand. The five letters became five values, spelled out one at a time: Empowerment Through Ambition, Merit-Based Performance, Performance With Purpose, Win-Win Relationships, and Radical Accountability. The positioning leaned into the word itself, an aspirational brand built on transparent leadership and real training, meant to stand apart from the sales industry’s high-turnover reputation.
What we developed:
- A brand built around EMPWR’s own name, with each letter spelling out a core value
- An aspirational positioning meant to disrupt the sales industry’s high-turnover reputation
- A full visual identity and brand guide reinforcing that positioning
Part 02: A Website Built for Recruits First
Designing for the Person Deciding Whether to Apply
EMPWR’s site needed to work for three different visitors: potential hires, business partners, and customers, and the priority order mattered. The homepage leads with recruiting language, “Lead the Front,” “Join the Front,” before it pitches a partner or a customer, and the contact experience splits into three dedicated paths so an applicant, a business partner, and a customer each get a message built for them instead of one generic form.
What we developed:
- A homepage built to speak to recruits first, partners and customers second
- Three distinct contact paths, one each for applicants, business partners, and customers
- A tone built around merit, ambition, and career growth instead of a typical services pitch
Part 03: Building a Job Board EMPWR Actually Owns
Solving the Problem a Third-Party Job Board Couldn’t
The original plan leaned on Indeed to manage job applications. The trouble is Indeed postings run on credits, once a company’s credits run out, the application link goes dead even though it still looks live to a job seeker. For a company trying to prove it was legitimate and dependable, a broken application link was exactly the wrong first impression. Instead, the team built job application functionality directly into EMPWR’s own site, so postings, and the links to them, stay live on EMPWR’s own terms.
What we developed:
- Native job application functionality built directly into the website
- A careers page with live position listings EMPWR fully controls
- Independence from a third-party, credit-based posting system
Part 04: Handling a Tricky Domain Migration With Care
Solving a Technical Snag Without Making It the Client’s Problem
EMPWR’s domain had been purchased through Microsoft rather than a standard registrar, which meant the build team couldn’t get the usual collaborator-only access to move the site into production. Rather than asking EMPWR to hand over full account credentials, the team laid out three options: share login access directly, hop on a short screen-share call and walk through the handful of steps together, or send the files over for EMPWR’s own contact to finish. EMPWR picked the screen-share option, and a meeting expected to take fifteen minutes took three.
What we developed:
- Three client-friendly options for a sensitive domain migration, instead of one default ask
- A smooth production launch without ever requiring EMPWR’s account credentials
- A fast, low-friction resolution to what looked like a bigger technical problem
Part 05: Bringing the Brand Into the Real World
Branding the Booth, Not Just the Website
A lot of EMPWR’s real recruiting and partner conversations don’t happen online, they happen at trade shows, retail counters, and events. The brand system had to hold up in person as much as on a screen: business cards and email signatures for everyday use, and branded materials, banners, signage, and table coverings built for the booths and events where EMPWR actually meets its next hires and partners face to face.
What we developed:
- Business cards and email signatures carrying the new brand
- Branded trade show and event materials, banners, signage, and table coverings
- A brand system consistent whether EMPWR shows up online or in person
Part 06: What Comes After Launch
Choosing Maintenance Over an Ongoing Growth Engine, For Now
Not every client moves into an ongoing Grow partnership right after launch, and EMPWR didn’t. With the brand and recruiting engine now live, EMPWR opted into a standard Maintenance plan starting the month after Build wrapped, keeping the site secure and current without a broader marketing retainer. The door stays open: the same brand and website foundation this project built is exactly what a future Grow engagement, if EMPWR chooses one, would build on.
What we developed:
- A finished, independently owned brand and website ready to stand on its own
- A Maintenance plan to keep the site secure and current post-launch
- A foundation ready for a future Grow partnership, if and when EMPWR wants one
Bring It All Together
EMPWR went from a name with nothing behind it to a brand built to do double duty: credible enough to open enterprise partnership conversations, and compelling enough to convince ambitious people that a door-to-door sales career is worth building a future on.

From Nothing to a Real Brand
A logo, values, and a full visual identity where none existed before.
Built to Recruit
A website designed around convincing job seekers first, not just selling to customers.
Fully Owned, Not Borrowed
A website, domain, and job board entirely in EMPWR’s own hands.
The Conclusion: Legitimacy Is Its Own Growth Strategy
EMPWR didn’t need more leads on day one, it needed to look like a company worth trusting with a career or a partnership. Building that credibility first is what makes every recruiting conversation and every partner pitch afterward easier.
