Born and raised in Red Lodge, Montana, Ali loves getting out in the sun and backpacking whenever she gets the chance. After graduating from Montana State University with a BFA in graphic design she moved to Utah, where she currently works as a brand and build strategist at Big Red Jelly.

Ali loves illustration and typography and has even recently begun her journey as an amateur type designer. Keep your eyes peeled for a plethora of chunky, bubbly display fonts as she continues to explore the ins and outs of building a typeface. Whether it be creating the perfect logo or a killer website Ali is constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and create. When she’s not working you can find her immersed in personal projects, sketching, or experimenting with new techniques. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the desert on backpacking trips, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or strumming her ukulele while lounging in her hammock

What drives your work?

I draw a lot of motivation and inspiration from other artists and designers. It’s fascinating to see the different ways people think, create, and problem-solve. I love watching design trends change and seeing the artistic community start to shake things up and bounce ideas off of each other. I find a lot of satisfaction in working with clients who are passionate about their business or project. It’s rewarding to know that my skill set and tool kit can help me collaborate with them to create something amazing. Working in the creative industry can be challenging, but I thrive on the opportunity to push my boundaries and exceed my client’s expectations.

What’s next in the world of web building?

I’m just starting to explore the world of web building, but I’m already hooked. There are always new technical advancements coming out, and it’s exciting to see how we can implement them within our creative process to explore new concepts and push the boundaries of design.
